Chuckster...I agree with you. Fortunatly I have healthcare.. but when I didn't it was costly and scary. I also worked in the healthcare industry and it is really an eye opener to see those without it went thru to deal with it at the place where I worked, either they had to save up, only to have their health problems worsen, or just become extremely sick. Recently I had a friend who has no healthcare and has 3 kids and is unemployed, her oldest went to the hospital and is left with a huge thousand and thousand dollar bill! including the fact that she is unable to take her kids to the doctor..and her sister recently has had serious health problems, and hasn't been able to go to the doctor, depseration led her to a clinic, they quickly remedied it and gave her an ointment, but she is still having issues.. that scares me, what happens if I lose my insurance, can i afford my medication, no..a doctor, no..
I have also had to deal with Medicaid when I worked at this place, and that was insane...
I know nothing is perfect, but what is going on here in the states is seriously imperfect and something needs to change!
